About ECK Taxidermy
ECK Taxidermy, formally known as ECK Farms, began this business venture in 2022. Originally opening as a European Mounted Taxidermist, reptile pet store and bait shop. Quickly Eddie and Christina (owners) realized their passion in taxidermy, which excelled above the other areas. Sadly, the decision was made to close the reptile pet store and bait shop in September 2024, to focus the time and attention on taxidermy services.
ECK Taxidermy focuses on skull cleaning AKA European Mounted taxidermy utilizing dermestid beetles (flesh-eating beetles) currently. With plans to expand the taxidermy services offered once they complete the desired training.
About the Owners
Christina has a bachelor's degree with some master's degree education in Nursing. She has done a wide variety of nursing from surgical to school nursing (and in between). She has been a nurse since 2005. Christina currently works for the Warrensburg school district as a school nurse.
Eddie has a bachelor's degree in Geology with a lot of extra biology classes. Eddie also owns a Drywall company in Warrensburg since 2008. He is very busy with his jobs but hopes to eventually completely change careers with the opening of this business.
Eddie and Christina both find enjoyment in taxidermy and thus utilize their free time towards this business.
Warrensburg natives together since high school, they have 3 children who are very active in the business. You will find them helping with any number of things around the business when not in school or busy with activities. Eddie and Christina volunteer and donate time to different nonprofits in the community, which they love.
