Condition of Taxidermy Specimen

We will note any damages, smells at drop off which we are able to see. Often times these things are not known until the specimen has been thawed, etc.

*Note: How you treat the specimen in the field after kill will affect the final outcome, due to non-seen damages inside the specimen*

A rotten specimen (not dropped off within 24 hours or frozen in 24 hours from kill). Our beetles will not eat rotten meat (it can kill them also) and we will not be able to complete the service.

All rotten skulls/animal/fish will be sent home at check in (if we can tell its rotten then). When we thaw the specimen before going into the beetle box (we will know for sure if its rotten), the skull/animal/fish will be sent back (without being completed) and you charged a $50 freezer storage fee for utilizing our freezer space for your rotten skull/animal/fish.

ECK Taxidermy reserves the right to refuse this service to any skull/animal/skull, for any reason!
